This time however, he fully did this of his own free will.

To repay him for his kindness and help, they offered to take him to Moonglow, from there he would find passage to Jhelom or whereever.

Baruk knew in his heart he was far too late to head home, the pirates would have been there already, and he figured it would not be safe to head there.

Yet he did, and as soon as he stepped out of the moongate, he was jumped by several of the pirates, who had waited there for days.

Dragged across the ground, he was tossed in front of his parental home, and forced to see the place torched by these men.

Before he was stabbed in the back several times by something pointy, and passed out from the pain, he heard several eerie screams coming from the house.. His parents, they were inside!
